On the afternoon of Sunday, 16/02, all those in Sóstó also felt the cold who undertook to pray at the stations of the Way of Married Couples, led by Bishop Ferenc Palánki, Father Csaba Nagy, Diocesan Family Delegate, and the jubilarian married couples who undertook to read the stations.

“On the Way of Married Couples, my husband and I walked through our marriage. We relived the good and the bad. We recalled how we solved problems. Like a journey through time: our wedding, the blessing of children, our parents, the family. Our family is truly a small church, a community. It is very important that we are for each other and not just alongside each other. We are responsible for our children, for their upbringing. God entrusted them to us; we must set an example for them and guide their path. At the same time, we must listen to our parents and allow them into our lives, regardless of whether they have grown old and frail. They have a great deal of experience from living their marriage. They remind us of the importance of family.”

“We returned home that evening with joy and gratitude in our hearts. The words and meditations heard at the stations of the Way of Married Couples deeply touched us. In every marriage there are joys and sorrows, but if we can nourish these with fitting love and rely on the providence of the good Lord, then we have already taken steps for our marriage. I recommend the strongest bond to all young people: love! It was worth being a little cold, as the delicious hot tea, which was very welcome, warmed us up. Thanks to all the dear organisers and participants!”

“'Blessed are you who weep now...' – we heard in today's Gospel passage. Today, tears of joy fell, and I was moved several times, because there have been many difficult stations we have overcome, and perhaps even more await us. Together – the three of us, for the Lord Jesus is with us – everything is easier; He is our strong support, and we are also that for each other: if one of us is weaker or falls, the other helps them up and supports them.”

“We had been greatly looking forward to this week; we were enriched with many precious moments that we will fondly remember. I would like to highlight the Wednesday evening Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: through the beautiful hymns, the candlelight, and the thoughts expressed, I received confirmation that I am in the best place here. We are very grateful to Father Csaba and his colleagues for their dedicated work! Strengthened and encouraged by the Bishop's blessing, we returned home at the end of Marriage Week. Thank you for all the grace and love.”
