The Our Lady of the Hungarians Roman Catholic Parish of Nyíregyháza organises a summer camp for children from 3rd to 8th grade who attend Roman Catholic religious education classes.
Our parish catechists will be working with the children at the camp. A qualified healthcare professional will also be present during the camp.
Camp Dates: 17/07/2023 Monday – 22/07/2023 Saturday (6 days, 5 nights)
Camp Location: Simai Youth Camp and Guesthouse
Age group: Children from 3rd to 8th grade.
Meals: Three meals a day. The programme starts with lunch on Monday and ends with breakfast on Saturday.
Travel: To and from the camp, and during excursions throughout the camp by hired coach.
Camp Activities: Many games, excursions in the Zemplén Mountains, quizzes, swimming.
Participation Fee: 50 000 HUF/person, which includes the costs of travel, accommodation, three meals a day, and entrance tickets. The full cost of the camp is 85 000 HUF/person. As this would be a significant burden for families, with parish and diocesan assistance, we will cover part of the costs.
