As we heard in the circular letter, we await non-perishable food donations here in the church in front of the St. Joseph's altar until next Sunday. We will also place an alms box for those who cannot bring food to put their donation in. If you would like to donate by bank transfer or cheque, please write "St. Elizabeth Collection" in the note!
We are organising a family Advent afternoon at the parish on Saturday, 30/11/2024, from 15:00, where we will make wreaths together, bake gingerbread, and make plaster Christmas tree decorations. Due to the purchase of materials for the Advent wreath, participation in the programme is subject to prior registration. You can register at the parish office or after Mass at the table in front of the sacristy by paying a contribution of 4,000 Ft per wreath towards the cost of the materials.
On weekdays of Advent (Monday to Friday), there will be Rorate Masses at 6:00 am. If you would like to volunteer to read at these services, please sign up in the sacristy.
The nativity play rehearsals will begin on Sunday, 24/11/2024 at 3:00 pm at the parish. We welcome the young people of our parish who would like to participate. The performance will begin on Christmas Eve at 3:00 pm.
The Nyíregyháza Group of KÉSZ is organising a lecture entitled "The Healing Power of Faith" on Tuesday, 26/11/2024 at 17:00 in the community hall of the Lutheran Church on Luther Square.
As Christmas approaches, we welcome the donation of Christmas trees to decorate our church in a worthy festive manner.
On Advent Sundays, there will be a Musical Devotion in our church after the evening Mass, we welcome our dear brethren with love.
Vespers before the Sunday evening Masses will be cancelled during Advent.
After Mass, please accept a slice of blessed bread, "St. Elizabeth's Bread" from our Caritas group, may it remind us of our Christian duty to donate!
We have turned on the church heating due to the cold weather. As gas is still expensive, we ask for the Brothers' contribution to help us ensure the cosiness of our beloved church together. You can put the amount you want to donate either in the Mass collection box or in the collection box at the entrance.
